Purpose
J.K. Rowling is the author of the world famous series known as Harry Potter. The Harry Potter series, as I'm sure you know, is quite literally a whole new world made up by JK Rowling and put int about 3.5 thousand books. Now I'm no author, but I'm pretty sure that would take at least 1 thousand gallons of imagination. I've read the series and watched the movies 3 times, and I still wonder all the time; 'Now how the hecking darn did she get that idea?'
J.K. Rowling had the idea for Harry Potter while delayed on a train in 1990. During the next five years, she began to plan out the series (http://www.harrypotter.bloomsbury.com/uk/jk-rowling-biography/). She wrote mostly in notes, many of which were on scraps of paper. She wanted to be a writer from an early age. She wrote her first book at the age of six called ‘Rabbit’. At just eleven, she wrote her first novel, a story about seven cursed diamonds and their owners.
I like to think she was just bored waiting for her train to move, maybe wishing she could just make it happen, just like that, magically, and then just started writing. Man that potter next to me needs a haircut... Haha. Pun. Maybe she didnt even take it seriously. Maybe it was just a story she could her daughter one day. Maybe she realized this was good, got up, packed her bags, and went to get published. But her plane got stuck somehow, so she wasted time writing six sequels.
I think JK Rowling sees most like either Albus Dumbledore or Hermione Granger. Albus Dumbledore is an old, wise, strong and a great leader. I think she sees herself as him because she makes him so perfect. There is nothing wrong eith him! He's the type of guy you know won't lie to you when he says that you can beat someone knowing you will have to die in order to win. I also think she sees herself as Hermione Granger because she is a smart young woman of whom without, there would be no story. It'd just be kids dying in a school, with no hope of stopping the murderer. That sounds terrible.
So yeah, now you know some of the reasons JK Rowling wrote the world famous Harry Potter series. And good for her, too, Harry Potter has sold over 400 million copies and she is worth about 1 billion dollars. With a 'b'. Not a typo. I bet youre not-- OK anyways, I really hope you learned something. What? Oh yeah and had fun, of course. Huh? Umm my days been fine... I'm sorry you can leave now. I don't care if you don't want to. Can you please go?! Oh, I'M SORRY, may you please-- ugh, nevermind, EVADA KADAVRA!
